AAP Must Recalibrate Strategy to Stop Defections MP Malwinder Kang

Chandigarh :

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Malwinder Singh Kang has said the party needs to recalibrate its strategy and function like a democratic organisation where everyone has an equal voice in order to prevent further defections.
Speaking after the recent exit of several Rajya Sabha MPs from AAP, Kang said the leadership needs better coordination with MPs, MLAs, and other party leaders.
He remarked that the party should start functioning more like a political organisation, adding that power should be distributed rather than concentrated in a few hands.
Kang also claimed that some senior leaders felt disconnected from the party leadership, which contributed to the recent departures.
Despite the defections, he said the impact on Punjab politics may be limited, arguing that those who left were not directly elected by the people. However, he cautioned that the party leadership must remain alert.
Reaffirming his own stand, Kang said he remains committed to Punjab’s interests and would continue to support politics that benefits the state and its people.
