Mohali :
A key meeting of the Central Temple Priests Welfare Association, Mohali, was held today at Shri Satyanarayan Temple, Sector 70, where several important decisions were taken unanimously.
The meeting was chaired by President Sohan Lal and marked the first formal meeting of the newly formed executive body after the resignation of the previous president on April 12, 2026. A large number of members participated in the meeting.
During the discussions, the council resolved to give priority to respectfully re-engaging senior former members. It was also decided that all media-related matters, including press releases, publications, calendars and newsletters, will be finalised only after approval from senior members and the president.
The meeting further decided that the final approval for organising and convening council meetings will rest with the president. It was also agreed that religious festivals and special fasting dates will be finalised after consultation with senior members at least one month in advance.
Another key decision included the implementation of a monthly membership fee system.
All proposals were passed unanimously, and members collectively pledged to strengthen the organisation and work for its unity and growth.
President Sohan Lal thanked all members for their participation and called for maintaining unity and dignity within the council. He expressed confidence that the organisation would achieve new milestones in religious and social service with collective support.
