On the occasion of World Environment Day, a plantation drive was organized at Shri Radha Krishna Mandir and Dharamshala in Phase-2, Ward No. 5, where Municipal Councillor Arvinder Kaur planted several saplings to promote environmental conservation and a greener community.
The initiative saw active participation from temple management members, devotees, and local residents, who joined hands in the effort to encourage tree plantation and environmental awareness.
Councillor Arvinder Kaur highlighted the importance of tree plantation in reducing pollution, improving air quality, and ensuring a healthy future for coming generations. She urged people to plant more trees and take responsibility for their proper care.
Participants also pledged to nurture the saplings and continue spreading awareness about environmental protection. The event concluded with a strong message of collective responsibility towards preserving nature.
