Mohali:
A plantation drive was organized at Shri Radha Krishna Mandir and Dharamshala, Phase-2, under the leadership of Er. Kanwaldeep Kaur, Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB), Regional Office Mohali, as part of ongoing efforts to promote environmental conservation and create awareness about the importance of a greener environment.
The plantation campaign was carried out by Ms. Mamta Goyal, SSS, and S. Gurmukh Singh, SA, along with other members of the PPCB team. A large number of saplings were planted within the temple and Dharamshala premises, contributing to the enhancement of green cover in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, the officials emphasized the crucial role of trees in maintaining ecological balance, reducing pollution, and ensuring a sustainable future. They encouraged citizens to actively participate in environmental protection initiatives and take responsibility for the care and maintenance of planted saplings.
The plantation drive received appreciation from local residents and temple management, who welcomed the initiative and pledged their support in nurturing the saplings. The event concluded with a collective commitment towards building a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment for future generations.
