Vidya Bharati Punjab Holds 10th Day of 15-Day Teacher Training Programme

Mohali :

The 10th day of the 15-day teacher training programme organized by Vidya Bharati Punjab was conducted at Jitendra Veer Sarvahitkari Vidya Mandir, Sector-71, Mohali, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, discipline, and positivity.
The day began with morning yoga, physical exercises, and the Vidya Bharati prayer, with full participation from trainees.
In a key session, Amit Dogra guided participants on “Collective Panchpadi Lesson Planning,” emphasizing that a structured and purposeful lesson plan is essential for effective teaching. He said the Panchpadi method helps make learning more engaging, participatory, and result-oriented.
He explained the five stages of the Panchpadi approach—introduction, presentation, comparison and conclusion, generalization, and application—along with practical examples. He added that planned and systematic teaching leads to a more effective and student-centric classroom environment.
Participants were divided into groups and trained to prepare lesson plans based on the Panchpadi method. They presented their work and received feedback and guidance from the subject expert.
The session highlighted that the Panchpadi teaching method helps develop critical thinking, participation, and confidence among students, making learning more meaningful and long-lasting.
The training programme will continue with expert-led sessions in the coming days aimed at enhancing teachers’ professional skills and overall development.
