Dera Bassi :
Bharat Vikas Parishad Vivekananda, Dera Bassi, honoured students who won medals at the 8th National Kettlebell Lifting Championship during a felicitation ceremony held at ATS Valley School on Thursday.
Parishad president Nitin Jindal said the championship was held in Shirdi, Maharashtra, where several young athletes from Dera Bassi delivered outstanding performances. In the junior category, Keeratveer, daughter of Gurdev Singh, Pariyanshi, daughter of Raman Prakash, and Adhrit, son of Pradeep, won gol
medals. Divisha, daughter of Sandeep, secured a silver medal, while Samrit, daughter of Gurjant Singh, clinched a bronze medal.
The Parishad presented mementoes and gifts to the medal winners in recognition of their achievements, which brought laurels to ATS Valley School and Dera Bassi.
In the veteran category, Dera Bassi athletes Sushma Bajwa, Sandeep Kaur and Jaskaran Kaur also won gold medals at the championship. They were likewise honoured by the organisation for their accomplishments.
ATS Valley School Principal Neena Pandey, Director Jai Amardeep Singh, Barkha Ram, Upesh Bansal, Jai Prakash and the parents of the students were present at the event.
