Meeting of Punjab BJP Sparks Talk of Organisational Changes

Chandigarh :

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called an urgent meeting of its Punjab leadership in New Delhi on Friday evening, sparking discussions about possible organisational changes and the party’s roadmap for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections
According to sources, BJP National Organisation Secretary B. L. Santosh is scheduled to meet senior Punjab BJP leaders, including former state presidents, at around 6 pm in the national capital
The meeting is expected to focus on the appointment of new office-bearers in the Punjab unit, key state-specific political issues, and preparations for the 2027 Assembly polls. Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon left for Delhi shortly after addressing a press conference in Chandigarh.

Among those invited are BJP General Secretary Anil Sareen, senior leader Ashwani Sharma, and former Punjab BJP presidents Sunil Jakhar, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Vijay Sampla and Manoranjan Kalia.
While the sudden meeting has generated political interest, party leaders, speaking on condition of anonymity, described it as a routine organisational exercise. They noted that this would be the first formal interaction between newly appointed Punjab BJP chief Kewal Singh Dhillon and National Organisation Secretary B. L. Santosh.
The outcome of the meeting is being closely watched as the BJP seeks to strengthen its organisational structure and political strategy in Punjab ahead of future electoral challenges.
