Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain today directed health officials to ensure that patients at all government health institutions receive timely medical tests, treatment and medicines without any inconvenience.
During a monthly review meeting, she emphasized the need to provide health insurance cards to all eligible beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme and increase awareness about its benefits among the public.
Dr. Jain also reviewed the HPV vaccination campaign and instructed officials to ensure vaccination of all eligible girls to help prevent cervical cancer and other diseases. She called for intensified awareness drives to educate parents and beneficiaries about the importance of the vaccine.
The Civil Surgeon further directed hospitals to maintain cleanliness, ensure availability of drinking water during the summer season, provide uninterrupted power supply and keep adequate stocks of essential medicines.
She also stressed the need to strengthen awareness campaigns and door-to-door surveillance activities to prevent the spread of dengue, malaria, chikungunya and other seasonal diseases across the district.
