Chandigarh:
In a significant political development ahead of the upcoming elections, former Sri Hargobindpur MLA Balwinder Singh Laddi joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today in a move seen as a setback for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Punjab.
Laddi was formally inducted into the party in the presence of AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia, Punjab AAP president Aman Arora, Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and Chief Minister’s OSD Rajvir Singh.
Before switching to AAP, Laddi was serving as Chairman of the BJP Panchayati Cell and General Secretary of the BJP SC Morcha in Punjab. Party leaders welcomed him into the AAP, expressing confidence that his political experience and grassroots connect would strengthen the organisation in the state.
Laddi’s induction is being viewed as another important political gain for the ruling AAP as parties continue to prepare for future electoral contests in Punjab.
