Mohali :
Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh said that the pro-people welfare schemes launched by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann are being implemented across the state without any discrimination. He was addressing residents during the ongoing ‘Lok Milni’ programme held in villages Chao Majra, Manauli and Saini Majra in the Mohali Assembly constituency.
He said the objective of the programme is to interact directly with people, review the progress of development works, gather feedback and identify pending issues for timely resolution. He added that the overwhelming public participation reflects the trust people have in the Aam Aadmi Party government’s policies and development agenda.
Kulwant Singh stated that since assuming office in 2022, the Bhagwant Mann-led government has been consistently fulfilling its promises and accelerating the state’s overall development. He highlighted the government’s focus on healthcare through Mohalla Clinics, which provide free medical check-ups, medicines and treatment, along with a health insurance scheme offering free treatment of up to ₹10 lakh.
Highlighting development initiatives, the MLA said that under the ‘Rangla Punjab’ campaign, works worth ₹4 lakh for street lights and ₹9 lakh for drain construction are underway in Manauli village, while financial assistance of ₹8 lakh is being provided to four needy families.
In Chao Majra village, he said ₹4 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of streets and drains, ₹7 lakh for a playground and ₹3 lakh as financial assistance for two needy families. He assured residents that development projects across the constituency would continue without interruption.
Several local leaders, panchayat representatives and municipal officials, including Mohali Senior Deputy Mayor Rajinder Prasad Sharma and Deputy Mayor Harpal Singh Channa, were present during the programmes.
