Students Shine in Kids ‘R’ Kids Musical ‘& Juliet’

Chandigarh :

Kids ‘R’ Kids Secondary School, Sector 42-C, Chandigarh, presented a grand musical production, ‘& Juliet’, performed by students of Classes V to IX. The performance combined theatre, live singing, a student live band, choreographed dance routines and dramatic storytelling to offer a modern interpretation of Shakespeare’s classic.
The production highlighted themes of self-belief, equality, resilience and responsible decision-making, reflecting the school’s commitment to competency-based, multidisciplinary learning in line with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and CBSE’s vision of holistic education.
Students captivated the audience with energetic performances set to popular songs by the Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, Katy Perry and Bon Jovi, showcasing their creativity, teamwork and artistic talent.
The event was attended by Nitish Singla (PCS), Director School Education, Chandigarh Administration, as the Chief Guest, while Pramod Sharma, Circle Auditor (Private Schools), Department of Education, Chandigarh Administration, was the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Anupam Grewal, Director-Principal, emphasised the importance of performing arts in developing creativity, confidence, communication skills and critical thinking. She said such experiential learning opportunities help students blend academic knowledge with artistic expression while building essential life skills.
The musical concluded with an inspiring message that individuals can shape their own future through resilience, self-belief and responsible choices, reinforcing the values of holistic and arts-integrated education.
