The Mohali Industries Association (MIA) successfully organised its 2nd Capacity Building Programme for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at MIA Bhawan, Mohali, with participation from entrepreneurs, industrialists and business stakeholders. The programme focused on creating awareness about government schemes, digital procurement through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), and business growth opportunities for MSMEs.
Addressing the gathering, Rakesh Vig, General Secretary, MIA, said the Association, under the leadership of President Ashok Gupta, is committed to strengthening the MSME sector through regular training and knowledge-sharing initiatives. A live demonstration on GeM registration and procurement procedures was conducted, while Shubhangi Kumar highlighted the support and services offered by the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC).
Former Punjab Industries Department officer S. M. Goel also briefed participants on Central and Punjab Government incentives and subsidy schemes available for MSMEs. During the programme, Rakesh Vig appreciated the efforts of Dr. Deepti and her team in organising the event and announced that the 3rd Capacity Building Programme will be held on August 21, 2026, at MIA Bhawan, Mohali. The Association reaffirmed its commitment to promoting innovation, awareness and sustainable industrial growth through such initiatives.
