CGC University Mohali has inaugurated the IBM Centre for Emerging Technologies, marking a major step towards strengthening industry-integrated education and preparing students for careers in next-generation technologies.
The new centre aims to provide specialised training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Data Science and Quantum Computing, equipping students with future-ready skills through practical learning and industry collaboration.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by CGC University Mohali Managing Director Arsh Dhaliwal, Executive Vice-President Dr Sushil Prashar, senior IBM officials, faculty members and academic leaders.
The centre will primarily benefit engineering and management students by offering hands-on training, live projects, real-world case studies and opportunities to earn globally recognised IBM certifications.
Speaking at the event, Arsh Dhaliwal said the university remains committed to aligning education with evolving industry requirements.
