MLA Randhawa Flags Off Three Pilgrimage Buses to Sri Amritsar Sahib

MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa today flagged off three buses carrying devotees to Sri Amritsar Sahib under the Punjab Government’s Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme.
The 118th bus was flagged off from Sangotha village, while the 119th and 120th buses departed from Jadaut village. Randhawa said the initiative is providing devotees an opportunity to visit important religious and historical sites without worrying about travel expenses.
He said the Punjab Government is bearing the cost of travel, accommodation and other necessary arrangements for pilgrims during the journey. He added that buses are being operated regularly under the scheme and a large number of people are taking advantage of the facility.
Randhawa said Punjab has a rich religious heritage and connecting people with important holy places remains a priority of the government. He said the pilgrimage scheme is helping people from different sections of society visit religious destinations conveniently.
The devotees thanked the Punjab Government for the initiative and said the facility had given them a valuable opportunity to visit the holy city of Amritsar.
Lalru Municipal Council president Zorawar Singh, Senior Vice-President Harish Madan, Block President Gurwinder Singh, Sangotha Sarpanch Tarlochan Singh, Jadaut Sarpanch Paramjit Singh, Mirpur’s Paramjit Singh and other dignitaries and party workers were present on the occasion.
