Gian Jyoti Institute Holds Drug-Free Awareness and Pledge Programme

Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase 2, in association with the local Brahma Kumaris, organised a ‘Drug-Free Awareness and National Pledge Programme’ under the 10 Crore Drug-Free Pledge Mega Campaign.The programme was organised by the institute’s Human Values and Professional Ethics Cell in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club, with more than 150 students participating enthusiastically.
During the session, students were sensitised to the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraged to adopt a healthy lifestyle based on strong values and ethics. They also participated in a Rajyoga Meditation session and took a national pledge to remain drug-free and spread awareness among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman J. S. Bedi said such awareness initiatives are important for encouraging youngsters to stay away from drugs, adopt healthy lifestyles and contribute positively to the nation.
Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director of Gian Jyoti, said a healthy and drug-free younger generation is the foundation of a strong and developed India. He added that Rajyoga and value-based awareness can help youngsters develop inner strength, discipline and the ability to make positive decisions.
Representatives of the Brahma Kumaris appreciated the students’ participation and encouraged them to contribute further towards building a drug-free, healthy and developed nation.
