Shri Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations Begin with Flag Hoisting at Shri Radha Krishna Mandir

Day-Long Bhajan-Kirtan, Special Evening Bhajan Programme and Midnight Aarti Create a Devotional Atmosphere

Mohali: Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great devotion, enthusiasm and spiritual fervour at Shri Radha Krishna Mandir & Dharamshala, Phase 2, Mohali. The day-long celebrations began with a special flag-hoisting ceremony.

The programme was organised with the support of Sabha members, with Mrs. Abha Bansal, Founder of Amay Foundation, attending as the Chief Guest. During the morning programme, Atul Sharma, President of Shri Radha Krishna Mandir & Dharamshala, warmly welcomed Mrs. Bansal. Sabha members, devotees and local residents participated enthusiastically in the celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Abha Bansal appreciated the religious and social activities being carried out by the Sabha at the temple. She emphasised the need to continuously strengthen the traditions, values and cultural heritage of Sanatan Dharma. She said every possible effort should be made to preserve the dignity of Sanatan traditions and promote their values in society.

The temple premises remained vibrant throughout the day with devotional bhajans and kirtans, creating a spiritual atmosphere. In the evening, a special bhajan programme was organised, which witnessed the participation of a large number of devotees and local residents. Everyone joined in devotional singing and celebrated the auspicious occasion with great joy and enthusiasm.

The highlight of the celebrations was the special midnight aarti marking the divine birth of Lord Krishna. Devotees offered prayers and sought the blessings of Lord Krishna for happiness, peace, prosperity and the well-being of all.

The temple premises echoed with devotional chants and slogans of “Haathi Ghoda Palki, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki!” and “Jai Shri Krishna!” as devotees came together to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna in a joyous and spiritual atmosphere.

The Janmashtami celebrations concluded with prayers for peace, harmony, prosperity and the welfare of society, leaving devotees spiritually enriched and filled with devotion.
