Sanjeev Vashisht leads organisational preparations; Abha Bansal appeals to residents to join September 22 programme
Mohali: The BJP’s Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra is gathering momentum in Mohali, with District President Sanjeev Vashisht leading organisational preparations and appealing for broad public participation in the anti-drug campaign.
Vashisht has been holding meetings with district office-bearers, Mandal presidents and party workers to coordinate grassroots mobilisation ahead of the yatra’s Mohali programme. Booth-level coordination and outreach to residents, youth and social groups are among the key preparations being undertaken by the district organisation.
The statewide campaign, launched on September 18, comprises four yatras that are scheduled to cover all 117 Assembly constituencies over 13 days and around 4,000 km, before culminating in Jalandhar on September 30. The BJP has described the initiative as an effort to build public awareness and collective action against drug abuse. ([Akashvani News][1])

The BJP has highlighted the slogan *“Nasha nahi shiksha chahiye, nasha nahi rozgar chahiye”* as part of its campaign messaging, focusing on education, employment, awareness and rehabilitation alongside action against drug trafficking.
With the Mohali programme scheduled for tomorrow morning, the district BJP leadership is seeking participation from residents across the city, positioning the yatra as a public awareness initiative focused on the social impact of substance abuse and the need for community involvement.
