Mohali :
Jitenderveer Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-71, Mohali, organised a special programme to commemorate 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’, highlighting its historical, cultural and national significance.
The programme was addressed by Shri Vikram Singh, Jila Pracharak, RSS, Mohali, who was the keynote speaker. He spoke about the historical journey of ‘Vande Mataram’ and its role in inspiring patriotism and national consciousness.
Shri Mohinder Jandial, General Manager (Retd.), Hindustan Unilever Ltd., attended the event as the Chief Guest. Shri Rajesh Mahajan, Administrative Officer (Retd.), Department of Forests and Wildlife, Punjab, Mohali, and Shri Rajat Malhotra, Director and Project Coordinator, Prosthetic Rehabilitation Initiative and Member, Rotary Club Chandigarh Horizon, were present as Guests of Honour.
Students and members of the school community participated enthusiastically in the programme. The event provided students an opportunity to learn about the historical and cultural significance of ‘Vande Mataram’ and reflect on the values of patriotism, unity and respect for India’s national heritage.
