A motorcycle was reportedly stolen from outside the gate of Factory No. 363 in Industrial Area, Phase IX, Mohali, during broad daylight on Saturday, raising concerns over the security of industrial areas
The motorcycle, bearing registration number RJ18SN0222 and belonging to Partap Singh, Foreman at Microwin Labs Pvt. Ltd., was parked near the factory gate around 10 am. When Singh returned, he found the vehicle missing. A complaint has been submitted to the Phase XI police station, with authorities requested to examine CCTV footage from the surrounding area.
Rakesh Vig, General Secretary of the Mohali Industries Association, said the incident highlighted concerns over the safety of industrial establishments, employees and workers. He called for urgent attention to theft, burglary and other criminal activities in the industrial areas.
Association president Ashok Gupta urged the police and civil administration to strengthen patrolling, CCTV surveillance and security arrangements in industrial areas. The association also appealed to industrial establishments and workers to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police.
