Lord Krishna’s Birth Celebrated with Great Devotion During Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

The birth celebration of Lord Shri Krishna was organised with great devotion and enthusiasm during the ongoing Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Shri Sanatan Dharam Mandir, Phase-4, Mohali. The entire Katha pandal was immersed in a devotional atmosphere as devotees danced to bhajans and raised slogans in praise of Lord Krishna till late evening.

Swami Dhanwantri Das Ji Maharaj, who arrived from Vrindavan, narrated various religious and spiritual episodes associated with the birth of Lord Shri Krishna. As Swami Ji narrated the divine birth episode, the entire pandal resonated with devotional chants of “Haathi Ghoda Palki, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki” and “Nand Ke Ghar Anand Bhayo, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki.”

Several devotional bhajans were presented during the programme, with devotees joyfully dancing and expressing their devotion. While describing the childhood pastimes of Lord Krishna and various episodes from his life, Swami Dhanwantri Das Ji Maharaj conveyed the message of devotion, love and surrender.

The Katha pandal was specially decorated for the Shri Krishna Janmotsav celebration. Devotees displayed great enthusiasm during the birth episode of Lord Krishna. During the Maha Aarti, the atmosphere echoed with chants of “Hare Krishna-Hare Rama” and “Radhe-Radhe”, as devotees remained immersed in devotion and danced till late evening.

On the occasion, Lucky Sharma, Chief Priest of Shri Sanatan Dharam Mandir, Phase-4, along with other priests, extended support in conducting the religious programme. Temple committee president Deshraj Gupta, co-vice president Raj Kumar Kalia, vice president Satish Kumar, general secretary Raj Kumar Sharma, cashier Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Anshul Bansal and Sanjeev Sharma alias Bobby, along with other committee members, contributed to the arrangements.

From the Mahila Mandal, president Dinesh Chandan, Indra Rani, Pushpa Sharma, Rajkumari, Shashi, Neelam and Archana, along with other members, also actively contributed to the successful organisation of the programme.

Following the Katha, Mahaprasad was distributed and an uninterrupted community feast (Bhandara) was organised, in which a large number of devotees participated and received prasad. Members of the temple committee, Mahila Mandal and other volunteers rendered their services during the programme.

A large number of devotees are attending the ongoing Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Shri Sanatan Dharam Mandir, Phase-4, every day and experiencing spiritual bliss through listening to the Katha and participating in devotion to Lord Shri Krishna.
