Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Surinder Singh (Badge No. 1099/CP) of the Chandigarh Police, posted at Police Lines, Sector 26, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, triggering a wave of sorrow across the police department.
According to sources, ASI Surinder Singh suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was immediately rushed to Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Despite all efforts by the medical team, he could not be saved. He was reportedly under the age of 50.
The news of his untimely demise has deeply shocked his colleagues and senior officers. Tributes poured in from across the force, with heartfelt condolences extended to the grieving family.
The Chandigarh Police Department has initiated all necessary procedures for the funeral rites and is providing all possible support to the bereaved family.
