Mohali Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu conducted a visit to Sector 79 and met with local residents to address their grievances and ensure swift action on pending issues. Senior officials from the Municipal Corporation accompanied the mayor during the visit and were directed to resolve public complaints immediately.
During his interaction, the Mayor informed residents that two separate proposals worth ₹91 lakh each have been approved for laying premix on the area’s roads. He assured that once completed, the roads will undergo a significant transformation.
In addition to road repairs, Mayor Sidhu also announced prompt action to resolve the area’s sewage issues. He directed officials to expedite work on stormwater drainage, construction of internal streets, and also take steps to address the problem of stray animals, including stray dogs.
He further stated that a general park in the area will be developed for public use and recreation. Reiterating his commitment to the city’s development, Mayor Sidhu emphasized that a shortage of funds will not be allowed to hinder progress in essential civic works.
Addressing residents, he gave his assurance that development activities will continue uninterrupted and that wherever needed in Sector 79, projects will be undertaken without delay.
Highlighting uniform development across the city, the Mayor mentioned that work is being carried out in all sectors and phases as per requirement. He urged the residents to support the Municipal Corporation by keeping their surroundings clean and maintaining hygiene in the area.
Prominent individuals present during the visit included Harcharan Singh Garewal, Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Nishan Singh, Labh Singh Brar, Master Inderjit Singh, Mukhtiar Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Dilbagh Singh, and other respected members of the community.
