Mohali Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu today inaugurated the road resurfacing work in Ward No. 4, Phase 2 of the city. The project, costing ₹93 lakh, involves scarification of old road surfaces followed by laying of fresh premix, ensuring that the road levels remain consistent and do not rise due to layering.
Present on the occasion was Rajinder Singh Rana, Councillor of the ward and former President of Nagar Council Mohali, along with several notable residents and officials.
Mayor Jeeti Sidhu emphasized that special care is being taken to avoid the issue of elevated road surfaces by properly removing the old premix before relaying. He also mentioned that keeping in mind the upcoming monsoon season, the cleaning of internal roads and drains in the ward has already been initiated to prevent waterlogging and ensure smooth drainage.
Councillor Rajinder Singh Rana extended heartfelt thanks to the Mayor for taking swift action in initiating developmental work in the ward. He highlighted that under the Mayor’s leadership, the city is witnessing visible progress and that resident complaints are being resolved promptly.
