Chandigarh :
Harminder Singh Sandhu, former Sarpanch of Chabbewal village and AAP leader, has officially joined the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal welcomed Sandhu, describing him as a young and energetic leader with a strong grassroots connect. On the recommendation of the district unit, Sandhu has been appointed as the Halka In-charge of the Chabbewal Assembly constituency.
Sandhu had contested the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections from Chabbewal on an AAP ticket, securing nearly 40,000 votes and establishing himself as a key political figure in the area.
Badal expressed confidence that Sandhu would play a vital role in strengthening the party and expanding its organisational base in Chabbewal and neighboring regions.
