In a step aimed at further improving public health services, the District Health Department has appointed new house surgeons to serve across the district. Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain informed that, as per the guidelines of the Punjab government, a total of 25 new house surgeons are being appointed in the district.
She said that appointment letters were handed over to six house surgeons on Sunday, while the remaining doctors have also been invited to complete the appointment process. These newly appointed house surgeons will be posted at District Hospital Mohali, Sub-Divisional Hospital Kharar and Dera Bassi.
Dr. Jain stated that the induction of these doctors will significantly strengthen healthcare delivery and help in providing better medical services to the people. She emphasized that the District Health Department is making continuous efforts to ensure that patients visiting government health institutions receive quality healthcare without facing any inconvenience.
Reiterating the department’s commitment, Dr. Sangeeta Jain said that the health department remains fully dedicated to safeguarding the health and well-being of the people of the district.
