Jugraj Singh Gill Trust Honours Women Teachers on International Women’s Day

The Jugraj Singh Gill Charitable Trust celebrated International Women’s Day yesterday at its headquarters in Sector 28A, Chandigarh. Col. TBS Bedi was the chief guest at the event.
The trust honoured women teachers who run Homework Tuition Centres in rural areas, which are managed and financed by the trust. Speaking at the occasion, Col. Jagtar Singh Multani, Chairman and Managing Trustee, highlighted the trust’s various social initiatives, particularly in the field of education.
S. Sher Jagjit Singh detailed other activities by the trust, including de-addiction programs and sports promotion. The trust has conducted around 20 seminars in high and senior secondary schools in Chandigarh to raise awareness among youth about the dangers of drugs. It also organised the 5th Gold Cup Kesadhari tournament in collaboration with the International Sikh Sports Council, where the trust-sponsored team won the gold cup.
