GJIMT Honours 100+ Women Educators at ‘Shodashi’ Event

Celebration of Women's Day in Sodashi 3.0 at GJIMT | Gian Jyoti Institute  of Management and Technology

Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Phase 2, celebrated its fourth annual event ‘Shodashi’, dedicated to recognizing the achievements of women educationists. Over 100 women educators from schools across the Tricity were honoured for their outstanding contributions to education.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from principals, senior teachers, and academic leaders. Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director of GJIMT, in her welcome address, emphasized the pivotal role of women educators in nurturing values, knowledge, and leadership qualities among students. Chairman J.S. Bedi also graced the occasion.

During the ceremony, distinguished school heads were presented with the Principal Excellence Award for exemplary academic leadership and contribution to institutional growth. Additionally, the Special Achiever Award recognized women teachers who demonstrated innovation, dedication, and professional excellence.

Adding a cultural dimension to the event, students performed vibrant presentations showcasing Punjabi traditions and inspiring songs, creating a memorable and engaging atmosphere. A panel discussion on ‘New Education Policy and the Role of Women’ featured eminent academicians and intellectuals who shared insights and experiences regarding the evolving educational landscape.

Speaking at the event, Gian Jyoti Global School Principal Gian Jyot highlighted the vital role of women educators in shaping future generations. She noted that the ‘Shodashi’ event serves as a meaningful platform to acknowledge their dedication and celebrate their impact in the education sector.

The program not only recognized the achievements of women educators but also inspired participants to set higher benchmarks in teaching, leadership, and innovation. ‘Shodashi’ continues to strengthen the mission of promoting excellence in education while celebrating the invaluable contributions of women shaping the future of learning.
