Online LPG Booking Failure Causes Long Queues at Gas Agencies in Chandigarh

The breakdown of the online LPG cylinder booking system has caused major inconvenience for residents in Chandigarh, leading to long queues outside several gas agencies across the city. With the digital booking platform not functioning properly, many consumers have been forced to visit agencies in person to book their cylinders.

Residents reported waiting for hours outside gas agencies to register their bookings. The sudden rush has resulted in overcrowding at several outlets, prompting people to demand that the online booking system be restored at the earliest to ease the situation.

A gas agency owner said the problem occurred due to overbooking of LPG cylinders through the system, which eventually caused the online platform to collapse. As a result, agencies have been handling bookings manually, increasing pressure on staff and causing delays in service.

Consumers expressed concern that the disruption could worsen if the issue is not resolved quickly. Many residents have appealed to the UT Administration to intervene and ensure a smooth and uninterrupted supply of LPG cylinders in the city.

Meanwhile, the situation has also begun affecting businesses. An acute shortage of commercial LPG cylinders has started impacting eateries and small food outlets across Chandigarh. Several vendors in booth markets reported that they have been forced to reduce menu items or limit cooking operations due to the shortage.

Restaurant owners said that commercial LPG is essential for their daily operations, and delays in cylinder supply could affect business and customer service.

Residents and business owners alike have urged authorities to restore the online booking system and streamline cylinder distribution to prevent further inconvenience and ensure regular supply across the city.
