MLA Kulwant Singh Flags Off 15th Pilgrimage Bus Under Pb Scheme

Mohali : Continuing the momentum of the Punjab Government’s welfare initiatives, MLA Kulwant Singh flagged off the 15th bus under the Chief Minister’s Teerth Yatra Scheme from near Gurdwara Sachha Dhan Sahib in Mohali.
Speaking to the media, Kulwant Singh said that while many families in Mohali can afford private pilgrimages, travelling collectively as a “sangat” offers a unique spiritual and social experience. He highlighted that such journeys not only provide religious fulfilment but also strengthen community bonding among families who spend several days together.
The MLA emphasized that the scheme, launched under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, ensures comprehensive arrangements for devotees. Facilities include medical assistance throughout the and trained guides to assist pilgrims at every step. He added that the initiative has been widely appreciated by beneficiaries.
Kulwant Singh also criticised opposition leaders for making remarks against the scheme, stating that religious initiatives should not be politicised.
He reiterated that the state government has fulfilled its promises and gone further by introducing a Rs 10 lakh health insurance scheme for citizens.
Meanwhile, coordinator Phoolraj Singh shared positive feedback from pilgrims, noting improved facilities compared to previous governments. He said additional buses for Hazur Sahib pilgrimage may soon be introduced in response to public demand.
Several local leaders and officials were present during the flag-off ceremony.
