Mohali : Strengthening the state’s ongoing “education revolution,” MLA Kulwant Singh announced the installation of 50 interactive flat panels in government schools across the Mohali constituency to enhance learning standards and modernise classrooms.
Speaking during the launch of digital panels at multiple schools, Kulwant Singh said the initiative aims to create a competitive environment in government institutions comparable to private schools. As part of the first phase, 12 LED interactive panels have already been installed across five schools, including School of Eminence Phase 3B1, Meritorious School Sector 70, and other institutions in Matour, Sohana, and Kumbra.
He emphasised that the smart panels will help students stay updated with global developments and improve their understanding through digital learning tools. The remaining panels are expected to be installed within a month.
Highlighting broader reforms under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the MLA said teachers are being sent to countries like Finland for advanced training, while students and educators are also receiving exposure through reputed institutes.
Kulwant Singh noted that the government has focused on improving infrastructure, recruiting staff, and upgrading facilities to change public perception about government schools. He expressed confidence that the shift in mindset is already underway, with more parents beginning to trust public education.
Officials and local representatives were present during the launch event.
