MLA Flags Off 17th Bus of Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme

Mohali : Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh today flagged off the 17th bus under the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme from the Mohali assembly constituency. The bus departed from Phase-6 for Amritsar, where pilgrims will visit Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Durgiana Mandir, Sri Ram Tirth Valmiki Sthal, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Wagah Border.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that keeping public sentiments in mind, this pilgrimage scheme has been launched under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He added that there is immense enthusiasm among the people for this journey, and pilgrims are registering through booth in-charges in their local areas.
Kulwant Singh emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring that no pilgrim is left out of the scheme. He said that after returning from the pilgrimage, participants share their experiences and express gratitude to the government, which provides a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment for the administration.
State Awardee and local coordinator Phoolraj Singh highlighted that the scheme is fulfilling long-standing religious aspirations of the people. He added that under the transparent governance of the Aam Aadmi Party government, strict action is being taken against corruption to ensure efficiency and accountability.
Phoolraj Singh further informed that over 95,000 patients are treated daily through Mohalla Clinics across the state, with essential medicines being provided free of cost. This demonstrates the government’s commitment to public health and welfare along with cultural and religious initiatives.
The event was also attended by Ramanpreet Kaur, R.P. Sharma, Harvinder Singh, Swarn Singh, Parmjeet Singh Vicky, Sukhvinder Singh Gogi, Malkeet Singh, Harmit Singh, Narinder Kaur, Minakshi Rajput, and Anwar Ali.
The Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme continues to be a popular initiative, bringing spiritual, cultural, and social benefits to residents across Punjab, while reinforcing the government’s promise of inclusive governance and citizen-centric services.
