Haryana to Send QR Code J-Forms to Farmers via WhatsApp From Next Week

Chandigarh :

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today announced that farmers across the state will start receiving QR code-based J-Forms through WhatsApp from next week as part of a major digital governance push in agriculture.
Addressing a press conference at Haryana Niwas, Saini said the move would reduce paperwork hassles and make procurement faster and more transparent.
He also announced that a dedicated Kisan App will be launched in the next procurement season, enabling farmers to access J-Forms, payment status, crop details, gate pass scheduling, and land verification through the e-Kharid system.
Highlighting procurement figures, the Chief Minister said Haryana recorded its highest-ever wheat arrival of 81.48 lakh metric tonnes during the ongoing Rabi marketing season 2026–27, valued at ₹21,044 crore.
He said 79.14 lakh metric tonnes had undergone biometric verification, while 70.23 lakh metric tonnes had already been procured and 34.56 lakh metric tonnes lifted.
Saini added that digital reforms had improved transparency, with over 13.47 lakh digital gate passes issued and geo-fencing introduced at mandis and procurement centres supported by CCTV surveillance.
The government has also increased the commission for arhtiyas from ₹33.75 to ₹55 per quintal and relaxed quality norms due to crop damage caused by unseasonal rain and hailstorms.
He further said that over the last 11 years, ₹16,160 crore had been paid as crop loss compensation, while 20.18 lakh Haryana farmers received ₹7,562 crore under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
