Kulwant Singh Releases ₹1.88 Cr for Development, ₹62 Lakh Aid

Mohali :

MLA Kulwant Singh, under the “Rangla Punjab” campaign of the Chief Minister, handed over development grants worth ₹1.88 crore to various village panchayats for development works in his constituency.
He also announced financial assistance of ₹62 lakh for 31 needy families, providing ₹2 lakh each to help them repair or reconstruct their damaged houses.
The MLA said the funds will be used for key development projects including street lights, repair of streets and drains, panchayat buildings, school rooms, playground development, community centres, anganwadi centres, and drainage systems in several villages.
Major allocations were made for villages including Behlolpur, Saidpur, Raipur Kalan, Dhirpur, Jhurheri, Jujhar Nagar, Kurrda, Manakpur Kalar, Manoli, Matra, Badmajra, Mannana, Raipur Khurd, Gobindgarh, Alipur, Gidarpur and others.
Kulwant Singh said the Aam Aadmi Party government is focused on delivering ground-level development rather than making mere announcements. He added that earlier also, ₹2.5 crore had been released for development works in the constituency, and more funds will be allocated in the coming days.
Taking a political dig at opposition leaders, he said that people of the constituency have completely rejected the Sidhu brothers, alleging that they ignored public issues and focused only on personal development.
He further stated that ₹50 crore has been approved for the development of 12 villages recently included in the Mohali Municipal Corporation. He added that tenders have already been issued and development work will begin at a fast pace within the next 15 days.
A large number of panchayat representatives, sarpanches, and AAP leaders were present on the occasion.
