Pb CM Bhagwant Mann’s Cousin Gyan Singh Joins BJP

Chandigarh :

In a significant political development in Punjab, Gyan Singh, cousin of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today.
He was inducted into the party in Chandigarh by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini and Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar, marking a notable cross-party shift ahead of future political activity in the state.
Former AAP campaign strategist
Gyan Singh had previously played an active role in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), serving as campaign in-charge during both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. He was associated with the party’s organisational work since its early days in 2013.
He hails from Sattoz village in Sangrur district and began his political journey during the 2012 Assembly elections. From 2014 to 2022, he served as in-charge of the Sangrur MP office and later played a key role in the Dhuri constituency during the 2022 Assembly elections, which was contested by Bhagwant Mann.
BJP sees organisational boost
His joining is being viewed as a strategic gain for the BJP, particularly in the Malwa region of Punjab, where he has longstanding organisational experience and grassroots presence.
Gyan Singh is a graduate (BA) and has been actively involved in political and organisational work for over a decade.
