Mohali :
In a political development ahead of the Mohali civic elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) faced a setback after its Mohali media incharge Atul Sharma joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He was inducted into the party by BJP Mandal-2 president Raman Saily and general secretary Deepak Puri, marking a notable shift in local political dynamics.
BJP leaders welcomed Sharma into the party, stating that their organisation is continuously expanding as people from different sections are being attracted to the party’s policies and ideology.
Following his entry, political circles have begun speculating that Atul Sharma may be fielded by the BJP from Ward No. 50 in the upcoming elections. However, the party has not yet released any official list of candidates.
The development is being seen as an early indication of intensified political activity in Mohali ahead of the municipal corporation elections.
