CMA Delegation Explores Nano Innovations at INST

The Chandigarh Management Association (CMA), Chandigarh Chapter of AIMA, organized a study tour to the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, providing its members with an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of emerging developments in nanotechnology and its applications across various sectors.
The 18-member delegation was welcomed by senior scientists of INST, who highlighted the transformative potential of nanotechnology in healthcare, agriculture, and industry. Abhishek Gupta, President of CMA, and Surajit Karmakar emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between academia and industry to accelerate innovation and societal progress.
During the visit, scientists Nirmala Kaushik, Ehesan Ali, Debabrata Patra, and Rahul K. Verma presented ongoing research projects focused on nano-enabled medical diagnostics, targeted drug delivery, and precision agriculture. A documentary showcasing INST’s pioneering work was also screened.
The delegation later toured INST’s advanced laboratories under the guidance of Jatinderpal S. Sehdev, gaining valuable insights into cutting-edge scientific infrastructure and research practices.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Navjot Kaur. Reaffirming CMA’s commitment to promoting knowledge exchange and innovation, Abhishek Gupta expressed interest in developing collaborative initiatives with INST in the areas of management development, technology commercialization, and industry engagement.
The delegation also included Jagmohan Bhogal, Executive Committee members G. S. Thukral and Priyanka Sud, among other senior CMA members.
The visit highlighted the growing role of nanotechnology in addressing real-world challenges and showcased the value of industry-academia partnerships in driving innovation and sustainable development.
