Kataria Promotes Entrepreneurship Among Youth at CU Summit

Mohali :

Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria inaugurated the third edition of the CU Scholars Summit 2026 at Chandigarh University, urging youth to become job creators rather than job seekers.
Addressing students, Kataria emphasized that India’s youth should actively engage with government initiatives such as Startup India, Skill India, Digital India, and Atal Innovation Mission to become self-reliant and contribute to employment generation.
The event, hosted by Chandigarh University, brought together nearly 3,000 students from 22 states and Union Territories, along with industry leaders, scientists, and film personalities.
Prominent attendees included scientists, corporate executives, and Bollywood figures such as Chunky Panday, Kiku Sharda, and Rajat Bedi, who interacted with students on career readiness and evolving industry demands.
Kataria also highlighted India’s intellectual heritage, encouraging students to reconnect with traditional knowledge systems while contributing to modern innovation. He praised the university’s scholarship programmes, noting that thousands of students, including a large number of girls, have benefited from financial aid schemes.
University officials said the summit aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by exposing students to real-world skills, innovation trends, and leadership opportunities through interactive sessions and campus tours.
