Chandigarh :
The faculty and students of the National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE), PGIMER Chandigarh, today organised a Chabeel outside the NINE Hostel to mark the forthcoming Martyrdom Day of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru.
The event was held with financial support from the Sukh Foundation and the State Bank of India’s Medical Institute Branch at PGI Chandigarh.
A large number of people participated in the initiative, during which sweetened water, channa and prasad were distributed among visitors and passers-by. The Chabeel attracted a significant crowd and was organised as a gesture of and service in remembrance of Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s sacrifice and teachings.
The organisers said the event reflected the spirit of selfless service and community welfare associated with Sikh traditions.
