Mohali :
A blood donation camp was organised at Shri Shiv Mandir in Phase-1, Mohali by Bharat Vikas Parishad, with the aim of promoting voluntary blood donation and spreading awareness about social responsibility.
Senior BJP leader Abha Bansal attended the event as the chief guest. She was warmly welcomed by members of the organisation, who also acknowledged her contribution to social and community service activities.
Addressing the gathering, Bansal described blood donation as a “noble and life-saving act” and urged people to participate in such initiatives more frequently. She said that a single unit of blood can save multiple lives and stressed that every healthy individual should come forward to donate blood regularly without hesitation.
Organisers highlighted that the camp was conducted smoothly with active coordination between volunteers, medical staff, and social workers. They said the initiative aimed to strengthen the culture of voluntary blood donation in society and ensure that hospitals have adequate blood supply during emergencies.
The event witnessed strong participation from donors, local residents, and members of the organisation. Many first-time donors also took part, showing enthusiasm and commitment toward the cause.
