Dera Bassi :
To ensure public safety and convenience during the monsoon season, Dera Bassi MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa chaired a review meeting with officials of various departments in the presence of SDM Amit Gupta today.
The meeting was attended by officials from the PWD (State and National Highways), Dera Bassi Municipal Council, Mining Department, Drainage Department and the BDPO office. The officials reviewed preparedness for the monsoon, including water drainage arrangements, desilting of drains, road conditions and measures to prevent waterlogging in vulnerable areas.
Randhawa directed all departments to work in close coordination and ensure that residents do not face inconvenience during the rainy season. He stressed that public safety and convenience remain the government’s top priority and instructed officials to stay fully prepared to deal with any emergency situation arising during the monsoon.
Among those present were Dera Bassi Municipal Council President Ashu Upneja, Vice President Davinder Saini, Lalru Municipal Council President Jorawar Singh, Senior Vice President Harish Madan, Vice President Aman Rana and MLA’s Advisor Rahul Kaushik.
