Administration Orders Swift Action on Traders’ Complaints

The District Administration, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, today held a high-level meeting with officials of the District Traders Commission and various government departments to review pending demands and complaints of the trading community. The meeting focused on ensuring the prompt resolution of issues related to GMADA, the Police Department, the Electricity Department, traffic management and law and order.
The meeting was chaired by District Traders Commission Chairman Ranjit Pal Singh and attended by Assistant Commissioner (G) Dr. Ankita Kansal, who directed all concerned departments to address traders’ genuine grievances on a priority basis and avoid unnecessary delays in resolving complaints.
Dr. Kansal stressed that a smooth business environment depends on the timely resolution of traders’ problems and instructed officials to work in close coordination to ensure quick action. Discussions during the meeting covered infrastructure development, traffic and parking issues, power supply, security arrangements and law-and-order concerns affecting commercial establishments.
Chairman Ranjit Pal Singh said several issues raised by traders, including sewerage, cleanliness, road maintenance, increased police patrolling to prevent thefts in markets and other civic amenities, were discussed in detail. He assured traders that the administration was committed to resolving their genuine concerns in a time-bound manner through continuous coordination with the concerned departments.
The administration also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining regular dialogue with the business community to improve the overall business environment and facilitate uninterrupted commercial activities in the district.
The meeting was attended by District Traders Commission Vice Chairman Tarlochan Singh Baidwan, Mohali Constituency Chairman Akwinder Singh Gosal, Kharar Constituency Chairman Yashpal Bansal, along with officials and representatives of various government departments.
