Shiromani Akali Dal (Waris Punjab De) organized a large gathering at Gurdwara Amb Sahib, Phase-7, Mohali, on Wednesday to demand the release of Bhai Amritpal Singh and other detained Sikh prisoners (Bandi Singhs). A large number of party workers and supporters participated in the event.
The gathering was attended by party leaders and workers from various parts of Punjab. Under the leadership of Jashandeep Singh Sandhu, Executive Committee Member and party spokesperson, a delegation from Dera Bassi, led by Kuldeep Singh Sarsini, joined the event along with party associates Damanjit Singh (Baltana) and Bhupinder Singh (Sundran).
Addressing the gathering, party leaders reiterated their demand for the release of Bhai Amritpal Singh and Bandi Singhs. They stated that, following the meeting, a convoy would proceed towards the official residence of the Punjab Chief Minister as part of their protest programme.
During the event, supporters and members of the Sikh community raised slogans in support of their demands and called for immediate action on the issue. The gathering witnessed significant participation and remained focused on pressing for the release of the detainees.
Party leaders said the proposed march towards the Chief Minister’s residence was part of their ongoing campaign to seek justice and draw the government’s attention to their demands.
