Residents Demand Reopening of Phase 11 Suvidha Centre

Mohali:

A delegation led by Councillor S. Amarjit Singh met MLA S. Kulwant Singh and requested the reopening of the closed Suvidha Centre in Phase 11 for the convenience of residents.

The delegation said the centre, established near the Civil Dispensary, had earlier provided more than 300 government services related to around 28 departments, including residence certificates, caste certificates, pension documents, passport services, Aadhaar-related work and affidavits.
Residents of Phases 10 and 11, Sectors 66 and 48-C and nearby areas had benefited from the facility, but its closure has forced people to travel long distances for routine government work. They pointed out that only three Suvidha Centres are currently operational in the city, causing inconvenience to citizens.
MLA S. Kulwant Singh assured the delegation that necessary steps would be taken to restart the Phase 11 Suvidha Centre at the earliest.
The delegation included several local residents and representatives, who urged the administration to restore the facility in the public interest.
