DC Komal Mittal Reviews Traders’ Issues, Orders Time-Bound Resolution

Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal chaired a review meeting at the District Administrative Complex to address pending issues faced by traders and shopkeepers across the district. The meeting was attended by District Traders Commission Chairman Ranjit Pal Singh Nall and officials from various departments.
Reviewing complaints and pending cases, the Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to resolve issues within a fixed timeframe. She noted that many complaints were related to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) and the Local Government Department, and instructed officials to speed up their resolution.
Komal Mittal emphasized that matters which can be resolved at the district level should be addressed immediately, while policy-related issues should be forwarded to the Punjab Government for further action.
The meeting also discussed concerns raised by the Mohali Industries Association regarding industrial sector issues. Officials were directed to take necessary steps and ensure timely disposal of these pending matters.
The Deputy Commissioner further instructed the Health and Family Welfare Department, Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Mandi Board and Municipal Corporation Mohali to clear pending cases related to their departments without delay.
Highlighting the need to improve public facilities in markets, she directed departments to ensure regular maintenance of public toilets, parking spaces and street lights for the convenience of traders and residents.
District Traders Commission Chairman Ranjit Pal Singh Nall urged officials to address even minor day-to-day problems faced by traders in a time-bound manner. He informed that a state-level review meeting of the Punjab State Traders Commission, under the leadership of Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, would be held soon and stressed that no issue should remain pending without valid reasons.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ankita Kansal, Ramandeep Kaur, Sukhdev Singh, Tarlochan Singh Baidwan, Yashpal Bansal, Ajay Kumar, Gurpreet Singh Dhamali, Dr. Amrit Warring, and officers from various government departments.
