Chandigarh:
The Dodgeball Federation of India has announced the selection of two Chandigarh players, Ketan Vashisht and Harsh Kaushik, for the Indian team that will participate in the Asian Dodgeball Championship 2026 in South Korea.
The championship will be held from October 9 to 11, 2026, at Wonkwang University in Jeonbuk-do. The international event will be organised by the Korea Dodgeball Federation under the supervision of the Asian Dodgeball Federation and World Dodgeball Association.The two players secured their places in the national team following impressive performances during the selection trials held at Kashmir University, Jammu and Kashmir, on August 8.
Ketan Vashisht, a student of Punjab University, is pursuing a master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from UIET. He is a former student of Strawberry Fields School, Sector 26.
Harsh Kaushik, a student of Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11, is pursuing a BCA degree. He previously studied at DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8.
Members of the Chandigarh Dodgeball Association congratulated both players on their selection and wished them success at the international championship. Their selection is being seen as a proud achievement for Chandigarh and a boost for the sport in the city.
