A large and dangerous cavity has developed on a pedestrian pathway, exposing residents and passersby to a serious risk of injury. The damaged portion of the pathway can be clearly seen in the accompanying photograph, with a substantial section of the concrete surface having collapsed and leaving a deep opening filled with broken material and debris.
The condition of the pathway has raised concerns over civic maintenance, particularly as the route appears to be surrounded by dense vegetation. With pedestrians continuing to use the path, the damaged stretch could prove hazardous, especially for children, senior citizens and people walking during low-light hours.
Residents and commuters have urged the concerned civic authorities to inspect the site immediately, barricade the damaged portion and undertake proper repair work before the situation leads to an accident. But Who Cares???
The incident also highlights the need for regular inspection and maintenance of pedestrian infrastructure. Simply waiting for a complaint after a major collapse could put public safety at unnecessary risk.
Residents’ demand is simple: Repair the damaged pathway before an accident occurs.
