Mohali :
A street play titled ‘Yuva Shakti Nashaon Ton Mukti’ was staged at Phase 7 Market, Mohali, as a joint initiative of Sanskar Bharati, Mohali, and Impact Arts to spread awareness against drug abuse.
The artists highlighted the harmful social and family impacts of drug addiction and urged youth to channel their energy towards education, sports, art and other constructive activities. Through dialogues and performances, the play conveyed the message that tackling drug abuse is a collective responsibility.
The play was directed by Baninder Singh ‘Bunny’, with Pushpinder Bagga, Sharan Bagania, Harsimranjit, Ramanojot, Ajay Masih and Swami among the performers.
Sanskar Bharati president Pandit Vinod Pawar and vice-president Advocate Umesh Narang thanked the artists and appealed to the public to support young people struggling with addiction by providing them guidance and opportunities for rehabilitation.
Other members of Sanskar Bharati and Impact Arts were also present. The organisers said another performance of the street play will be held at VIP Road, First Block Market, Zirakpur, on September 26.
