Mohali :
The Ganesh Visarjan ceremony of Shri Ganpati Ji Maharaj, installed at Gau Hospital and Gaushala, Phase 1, Mohali, was held on the auspicious occasion of Ekadashi with devotion and enthusiasm.
Women’s groups from various parts of Mohali participated in the programme and performed bhajans and kirtan. Devotees bid farewell to Lord Ganesha with chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya, Agle Baras Tu Jaldi Aa” and prayed for his return next year.
Delhi Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood attended the ceremony as the chief guest. He offered Gau Mata a specially prepared cake made from fodder, dry fodder, bran, sugar and other ingredients and sought blessings.
At the conclusion, devotees were served kheer and lassi prepared from Gau Mata’s milk as prasad. Gau Grass Sewa Samiti thanked all devotees, women’s groups and supporters for their participation and cooperation in making the festival successful.
