With the aim of providing health services and the benefits of government health schemes to the public, the Punjab Government has launched the Chief Minister’s Health Scheme (MMSY) at Civil Hospital Kharar under the leadership of SMO Dr. Sarita. A health card distribution ceremony was organised at the hospital, where Chairman of the Punjab Youth Development Board Parminder Singh Goldy attended as the chief guest and distributed health cards among beneficiaries.
Addressing the gathering, Parminder Singh Goldy said the Punjab Government was making continuous efforts to provide better and quality healthcare facilities to the people. He said ensuring that eligible families receive the benefits of government health schemes was a priority and appealed to residents to make maximum use of the available healthcare services and schemes.
SMO Dr. Sarita informed that hard copies of more than 1,000 health cards under the Chief Minister’s Health Scheme were ready at Civil Hospital Kharar. Eligible beneficiaries can visit the hospital to collect their cards and avail themselves of the healthcare benefits covered under the scheme.
During the programme, the Health Department distributed cards to beneficiaries and provided information about the Chief Minister’s Health Scheme and other government healthcare facilities. People were also briefed about the benefits of the scheme and the use of the health cards.
Chairman Block Samiti Kharar Raghubir Singh Modi, AAP Constituency Media Incharge Baljit Singh, Ram Saroop, Anju Chandra, former President Municipal Council Kharar Bittu Jain, Yashpal Bansal, Constituency Chairman Punjab State Trading Commission Sukhwinder Singh Dimple, besides party leaders, volunteers and a large number of local residents, were present on the occasion.
