Sunny Sports Club organised a badminton tournament for members of the Buddha Park Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA), with more than 20 participants taking part in various categories.
The tournament featured men’s singles, women’s singles, kids’ singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and kids’ doubles events. Participants displayed enthusiasm, competitive spirit and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, turning the event into an engaging community gathering.
Shri Harbans Singh Sidhu, President of Buddha Park RWA, attended the event as the Chief Guest and encouraged the participants. He appreciated the residents’ enthusiasm for sports and healthy community activities.
The winners and runners-up were felicitated by Shri Ravinder Singh Khera, Halqa In-charge, Shiromani Akali Dal. He congratulated the players and appreciated Sunny Sports Club for promoting sports and community participation.
In the men’s singles category, Abhishek Jasra emerged winner, while Amandeep Singh secured the runner-up position. Simranjeet Kaur won the women’s singles title, with Jasnoor finishing runner-up. In kids’ singles, Aarav claimed the top position and Jeevanjot was the runner-up.
In men’s doubles, Amandeep Singh and Parveen Kumar won the title, while Amit Garg and Vivek Goyal were runners-up. Simranjeet and Ruchi Sood emerged winners in women’s doubles, with Khushboo Sharma and Jasnoor finishing runners-up. In kids’ doubles, Aarav and Jasnoor won the title, while Satveer and Jeevanjot were runners-up.
N. K. Sidhu, Chairman of the Organising Committee, Sunny Sports Club, Sunny Enclave, Sector 125, Kharar, thanked all the players, organisers, supporters and residents for their presence and cooperation in making the tournament a memorable and successful event.
The tournament provided residents with an opportunity to showcase their badminton skills while promoting fitness, sportsmanship and stronger community bonding.
